Punched flowers

Hi Girls,
         The colors in this week PDCC#65 are fabulous and I really wanted to try my hand at it.After finishing the card, I felt the color combo was even lovelier than I had expected.

       I combined it with the MidnightMadnessSketchChallenge#87 .I decided that I was going to do a punched flowers card and So,I flipped the triangle in the sketch to right, to avoid clutter. Hope they dont mind. So far,used a few punches here and there.But this is the first time, I used many flower punches together(all that I have :) ). Any suggestion for improvement is welcome.On the whole I liked the card.

Shoe card

Hello girls,

           Today I have a gate fold card with a sketch from card pattern #98 and colors from Color Throwdown #125.
           I cut the shoe shapes from pattern paper ,shaded one side of it and added some grey and black for showing dimension.  Tried the hand cut shape behind like the new Nestability release and I believe ,it increases the beauty of the card.. I just love it and hope you like it too..Please share your comments.

Anniversary card

Hey Girls,

     Today I have a sweet card to show you.I fell in love with this pattern paper, for no reason, inspite of it being so dull. I wanted to somehow use it in one of my projects and the choice of colors was a little difficult.But red had really brightened up the card, I should say.

     The lace like border is crimped with a quilling crimper. Luckily I had quilling strips in the same color and so added a quilled flower, similar to one in the paper.The circles are hand cut and rest from my stash.Did not add anything over the PP to show it off...

A simple card with bright happy colors :)) The ribbon in the middle is from the Diwali Gun of my Son(Ahh!! I becoming poet!!).Carefully removed it from the gun before he flirts with it and makes it dirty.Do post your views.

Hi girls,
      For today's card, i took the colors from Crazy 4 Challenges#69 and sketch from Corrosive Challenge #98.The sketch looks like this.

and the Color pallete for my card is supposed to be like this.

    Here is what I have come up with...This digi stamp is from cuddlybuddly.. This whole string around the centre oval, took  me quiet sometime.. tried many different ideas and finally was satisfied with this. The Strip behind oval is made with heart punches of 2 different sizes.. :). The flowers are from itsy bitsy, the rest from my stash.

    Please do comment on my works.. any suggestions for improvement is also welcome..

Green Congratulations!!

Hi Gals,
       This is a card, I created using the sketch of Midnight Madness #86 and Colors of PDCC #63(Grass Green, Gold and Silver).Unfortunately, I am late and the PDCC collection is closed today.. :(             
      
      Immediately after seeing this week's PDCC, I was reminded of this gift wrapping sheet I used in this card. It came with a gift, and I have a habit of collecting all the gift wrapping sheets.. it helps at times you see (wink).I tried to give 3D effect for flower pot.. did nt work out well.

     The gold and white paper, the ribbons are also old ones.So I am entering it to Cute Card Thursday#146-Out with the old.

Quilled wall hangings

    Today I have some wall hangings to show you. I did these when I first learnt quilling.

    Here is a flower made using husking technique. This was just a trial on a A4 Sheet, the backside of it was printed ...:)).My dad saw this and got it framed with box frame.To my surprise, the quilling looks fantastic, mounted on a peach colored wall , in my home town!!

    Another quilling I did for my in-laws.. yes.. my parents and in laws have more of my works than I have...:)Saw a similar pattern in some website that I dont remember.

Tanjore glass paintings

            Happy New Year 2011 to all of you !

            I am fresh after the break and now I have a few paintings to share with you..:)
These are some of the tanjore glass paintings I did last year. I did so many , that I feel bored to paint them now. I do not have all the photos but I managed to collect some of them after I started blogging.

This is my first one and I made this envisaging my son as Krishna  :).Hung it in my house.
