Valentine cards in non traditional colors

Hello peeps,

I am back with another set of cards. They all are valentine cards in non traditional colors!

I got the idea for this silhouette card from a wedding invitation. I traced out the faces from the invitation on black card stock and cut it. I glued them on a gate fold card .Then added some golden heart stickers and drew some hearts using gold gel pen.The sentiment is from Stampin up Petite Pairs.

The next card is a tri-shutter card.I used  birds using stampin up punch, and fiskars lattice corner lever punch to create the front of the card.then added some punched flowers and honeybee , butterfly stickers. PP from DCWV.sentiment hand written.I left the centre portion blank for affixing photo.

The third card is a double side step card with decoupage image from Papermania Forever Friends.Fiskars corner lever lattice for the corners and antique gold half pearl!Easy, simple and neat card!

The stamp is from Kaisercraft-Little Man. This stamp was in my stash for a long time, waiting to be used in a male card and this was super fun way to use it!.

Today's Tutorial

Today it is a tip to make simple flower using 5 scallop circles. Just fold the scallop circle in half twice. It becomes quarter the size of the original scallop circle. Now arrange 4 such folded circle on a full scallop circle. You get a dimensional beautiful flower!!!

I am loving these backgrounds!! This time, it is the small birds I stamped in scallop circle.Inks are Stampin Up. I made flowers using heart punch outs..:)
Todays Tutorial

Today we will see how to make the swing card I made in the last post.Stamp 2 cages in blank card stocks and cut the shape.
Glue down or tape down a small thread on one of the cut outs and place the other on it.Glue them together.
Trace the cut out cage shape on the front of the card and draw a line just 1or 2mm more than the traced cage shaped

Cut out the cage shape and stamp the background

Now place the cages in the cut out place and tape the 2 ends of the thread on the inside of the card.cover it with laces or PP strips.

Your swing card is ready!!! Here is how it looks when swinging,

Hiya,

So, do visit her blog daily to make sure u do not miss the sneak peaks!!

Today on sneak peak is the Lovely Birds stamp set, which really is so lovely set!!.

I did happen to get her first design for review and This is what I have to say
  •  I am amazed at the quality of stamps!!It definitely is better than most stamps in US.
  • It tried stamping with Memento, colorbox,Distress ink, versamagic chalk,Inkitup dye and pigment, stampin up on all types of cardstock and it was perfect.Inks did not bead.
  • A few small issues I had here and there, she rectified it in the current release.
  • Overall I would say it is great to have an Indian branded,Indianized, pocket friendly stamp sets!
Here are some of the cards I stamped using this cutie sweety stamp set.

Birds with the bg stamp
This is a swing card. The cage rotated to reveal a similar cage in the back. Will post a tutorial for it shortly.

Birds with embossing bg
the front of the card is cut in the shape of the cage.
I could nt stop making cards with these adorable birds!! Some more for u to see!!

Another single color card!!

The background stamp in the set was awesome!! It was soo perfect with thin lines and no ink beading at all!!thats wonderful!! I am so happy for all of us :)

Head over to Varnas blog for more sneak peaks everyday and give out ur suggestions .. She is open to all improvisations and your feed back is valuable, coz, it is ultimately us,who r gng to get benifitted from those ideas!!
