DIY- Interesting Patterns and Backgrounds using Washi tapes

Hello Lovely ladies,

I wanted to show some Yummy projects using the already Yummy washis and  that does not take much effort - Some interesting patterns and Backgrounds that can be created using Washi Tapes:)

This one is simple and easy way of creating BG.. Divide square cardstock into 4 and tape it horizontally and Vertically  - alternate.

Fill entire piece of paper with tapes, punch circles or any other shapes and arrange them as you like
Supplies used Washi tapes, Spellbinder Label 4, Oval and Mulberry flower

Simply cover half of the card with tapes and leave the rest blank.

Supplies used Washi Tapes,Memories Dieverion Die,Nail art flowers

Another simple(do I repeat this same word often? could nt help..really) Die cut flower arranged card

Draw lines using pencil(measure equal distance) and simple cover the area with the Tapes
Supplies used : Washi tapesNellie Snellen Doily circle set,PTI sentiment

For this I followed Bargello technique - Check out tutorial in my blog.

I love this card - It has quilt like effect.. I will be honest. It took me sometime to finish this card :)

Supplies used : Washi Tapes, Spellbinder label, PTI sentiment.

Tip: The color of the cardstock below the tape matters - for the kind of look you want to give your projects.. For happy color cards like the above, use white background CS , to see the colors pop out much brighter.

Hope you like these cards.. I am just curious to know which one you ppl like, do leave that in your comment. If time permits, I shall meet you back with more patterns :)

Thanks for visiting

8 different ways of using your Background Stamp

Hiya,
How have you been doing? I did some crafting lately and here is what I came up with.. If u are my regular blog reader, you would have known, I like to make the best use of my available supplies.. I sat down with an intention to make as many as possible with a background stamp.I used this :)

Hero Arts Flourish Background

1.As a Background

A Multi color Background.. Technique used : Multicolorstamping.
A little smudge near purple.. my son touched with wet hands ;(

2.Stamp on strips of paper
3. Make flowers
I used tone on tone stamping  for tech 2

For Flowers, I stamped BG and used MFT layered rose

Entering the above 2 cards for catchy challenges
4.Use it to stamp half of the card

You could do this Vertically/Horizontally/Diagonally.Technique used Crayon resist with distress  ink

5. Mask your background at places

I used washi tape as masks for this card and removed it after stamping. Technique used :Masking
 6.Use it on Tags

Technique used : Stamping with water on Distress ink

7. Use it on Die cuts

Technique used : Emboss resist with distress ink

 8. Use it on the corner of the cards

I marked center on all 4 sides and drew a line with pencil. Using it as guide, I stamped on the corners. Drew lines with marker and erased pencil line.

I simply love this Impression Obsession Butterfly die!! I have added a monarch butterfly pic from google for comparision :)
