These are some of the tanjore glass paintings I did last year. I did so many , that I feel bored to paint them now. I do not have all the photos but I managed to collect some of them after I started blogging.

This is my first one and I made this envisaging my son as Krishna  :).Hung it in my house.

This a gift for a relative. Photo was taken  before framing.
This is a gift for my friend's wedding.Asked her to photograph and send. This is my favourite one.

This simple one a gift for house warming.

This is a gift for my dad.
This is another gift for a relative
This is a gift for one of my friend's mom and dad.

Best of 2010

Although I have declared a break, I could nt resist this post for the Best work of 2010 event of Kavitha.
Here is what I feel the best work of 2010- The Ganesha Tanjore painting.

This is my second Tanjore painting(Jan 2010) I did after learning a Oonjal Krishna- which is a common painting.I wanted to try a not so common piece. And here comes our ganesha with Yaal(It is a musical instrument used centuries ago and our tamil poets describe," its  music is the sweetest of the sounds.."!!)
I enjoyed doing each and every minute work - be it muck work, foil work ,stone work or painting and really relish the outcome.I could proudly display this is my work. But the photo is not sharp enough to cover the ridges of the foil. I gifted this to my in-laws with a Chettinad V frame.
Updated:
Here is how it looks with the frame.

Butterflies, flowers and a break

Today this is a card for card pattern #95. So simple card in red and green..  I somehow always feel I could add something more to the card. But that is ok.. The butterfly is handcut and I made a lace with the punched flowers ha..ha..The Orange background is a hand made paper.Rest is from my stash.
Here is the sketch.
And here goes my card.

Please let me know your views in the comments.. It is more important to me you know.Firstly it helps to improve my blog and secondly it makes me happy. Thanks for all of you who regularly read my blog and encourage me.

I am taking a break for about 10 days. Will have limited access to internet and will miss reading all your blogs. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everybody out there. May this year bring you all that you wish to have!..  happy blogging :)

The snowflakes on the top is 2 layered.I cut out 2 snowfalkes and glittered them green and white, glued some stones on them. The tags for the sentiment is handcut.I loved the way the card has turned out.Have I added so much glitter?!
This is another book mark with the scraps.. :)

Happy Birthday Mansi!

Our blogger friend Mansi is celebrating her Birthday today. She is a very good crafter(Mansi's blog) and never fails to comments on my cards. Thank you so much Mansi. Here is a token of my love.

I created this card for her. It opens like a door card.Hope you like it...:) The cardstock is a hand made paper, which I bought long long ago... I thought pink and lavender would be apt for a girly birthday card.
See that gorgeous yellow pattern paper behind.. went for shopping , after seeing Kavitha's papers...(wink..)The butterfly is from itsy  bitsy. The rest from my stash.

By the way Mansi is offering a super duper blog candy.. Chk out her blog for more...

Just for fun!

I made this card just for fun! Yes. On seeing my hubby's birthday card 2010, my little son, asked me with a beseeching smile, "Will you make a card for me?" . Moved by his request, I immediately sat down for making this card and finished it soon. He likes Santa and he liked the card too..
